Q: When is it? How long is the Bible Study?

      The Bible Study will go from April 22 -June 30, 2019.

Q:  Who is the Bible study for?

This study is for any woman who wants to study the Word of God with other women in a private, online community setting. Sometimes our season of life does not afford a 2 hour block of time for a regular group. This one works around your schedule! While many of the women will be members of Cedars Church in Newark, CA, you are not required to attend Cedars to be part of this group.

Q:  What will we be studying?

We will be studying the Book of Hebrews.

Q: Where do we meet? How do I join?

We will meet in a Private closed Facebook group called “Cedars Women’s Bible Study.” Go to Facebook and search for this group and request permission to join. Once you have been added, take a look around at our Bible Study Home! Next, subscribe for Bible Study updates here.

 

Q:  What time do we meet? Do we all meet together “Live”? How does this work?

No, we will not meet together live. The purpose of this study is to fit it into your schedule when you have time. There is no specific time for this group.You will do this Bible Study at your own pace in the same way you might interact with your friends on social media. In other words, you can log on anytime during the week to see the weekly readings, teachings and discussion questions. It’s up to you how much you want to participate in the group discussions. I will post the weekly assignments on Mondays, links to the sermon & YouVersion plan, and we will spend the rest of the week answering posted discussion questions. As we go, I will give clear instructions on what to do next so you don’t need to worry about a thing!

 

Q:This sounds confusing. I’m not very techy, and I’m afraid I’ll get lost. 

Don’t worry! This is new to all of us, and I’m here to guide you through this step by step. It will take some getting used to, but once you are logged into the group each week, everything will be laid out for you!  Be sure and read all email updates from me as well. 

 

Q:Do I need a study guide or anything? 

Your Bible and journal to write your thoughts. Here are some other resources we will be using: Cedars Church sermons podcast(also located on ITunes app), You Version App for access to various Bible versions & Jesus Is Greater Series Study Plans, and Hebrews Scripture Journal (optional).

 

Q:Are there any requirements to being in this group?

Nope. Just show up and engage as much or as little as you want. Maybe you just want to read the weekly teaching and that’s it. Maybe you just want to read the text and participate in discussions and ask questions. Maybe you just want to get to know some other Christian women and ask them to pray for you. Think of this group exactly like you would think of a regular Bible Study. Get to know the women in the group, study the Word, ask lots of good questions, pray for each other, and enjoy the fellowship of getting closer to each other and to God.
