Writer. Editor. Faith Wrestler.
HEY THERE, I’m Jodi!
I’m here to encourage and inspire your faith journey with Jesus, to help you grow deep faith in a spiritually shallow world and persevere when it gets tough, so you can transform and live out your passionate purpose in God’s adventurous story.
All of us struggle. All of us doubt. All of us have wanted to give up when things get hard, hurt too much, or make no sense.
In what ways have you been discouraged?
My story includes church hurt and rejection. Anxiety and depression. Family drama and marital strife. I’ve wanted to give up. So. Many. Times.
And yet ...

Scripture tells us to ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER DAILY because God knows WE NEED IT if we’re going to MAKE IT. (Hebrews 3:13, 10:25)
Who are your daily encouragers?
Who do you daily encourage?
Let me be one of yours. To encourage you to keep going. Keep growing. Eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. More joy. More peace. More thriving. Less striving.
Consider me your faith coach cheering you on to immeasurably more than you could ever hope or imagine. We’ve got this.
Let’s Go!
“I’m in PASSIONATE PURSUIT of JESUS and living a BETTER STORY, and I want to EQUIP and ENCOURAGE OTHERS to do the SAME.”
I’m a WRITER who writes about Scripture and what it teaches about life, God, and life with God so I can encourage women on their faith journey.
I’m a devotions writer at Proverbs 31 Ministries Encouragement for Today, and my latest work is featured in their newest devotional study, 30 Bible Verses Every Christian Should Know.
I’m an EDITOR who helps other authors make their words shine. With experience as a Bible & English teacher and editing for a Christian publishing company, I love to help other authors by editing their stories for biblical accuracy and clarity.
I’m an occasional SPEAKER who loves to teach God’s Word with raw honesty and a bit of wit and humor.
I’m a FAITH WRESTLER who wrestles daily with God and His Word. I don’t always understand it or like it or even believe it. I often pray like the man who exclaimed, “Lord, help my unbelief!” Like Jacob, I walk with a limp. In the end, I’m an overcomer because of Jesus. I persevere through trials because I want to experience deep joy and transformation and thrive in who God created me to be.
I’m asking God for one thing, only one thing:
To live with him in his house my whole life long. I’ll contemplate his beauty; I’ll study at his feet.
That’s the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, the perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic.
Psalm 27:4–5 MSG
READER TESTIMONIAL
“Prayer is not a one-time wish on a penny tossed into a fountain. It’s intimate, ongoing communication with God where we get to know his heart and he transforms ours.” This is such a beautiful and true sentiment. I just spent three years waiting on a prayer request and the most rewarding experience has been how my relationship with God is better than ever …this devotional is one that I will be reading on repeat to myself and others. Thank you for sharing!”

01
My writing journey started young. I have always loved to read and write. Bury me with my books.
02
When I was 18, I memorized the book of Exodus. It gave my first taste of the joy of knowing and meditating on God’s Words.
03
I married a pastor, making me an official “pw” (pastor’s wife). My journey in ministry leadership began, as well as many trips to Disney. I mean, Micky Mouse brought me my engagement ring on a silver platter. Of course I said yes.

My passion to teach and lead the next generation grew out of my own love of being mentored.
05
I’m a boy mom to 3 and an almost empty nester. Cue the ugly cry. I’m not ready.
06
Of course I love coffee and “seasons.” I’m a Christian women’s devotions writer. After many years in California, I’m back in my home state of Colorado.
07
In 2019 I cofounded Lead Bold for women leaders in ministry. My heart has always been for mentoring next generations and training them in Scripture.
